He went on a wilderness trip in Jul 1992 to Allagash River Waterway, Maine. Gerry made the Allagash trip with Ernie Brown, leader, Nelson Bennett, Hadley, Bill Pierce, Tom May, Frank May, and ?????. He was baptized in 1996 in Covenant Presbyterian Church, Chattanooga, TN. He went on a wilderness trip in Nov 1996 to Mt LeConte, Smoky Mountains National Park. Gerry hiked to Mt LeConte with Dave Ridge and his wife Beverly, Ken and Polly Henry, Mike and Ann Walker, Ron and Janet Jobe, and Ernie Brown. They stayed at the lodge. He went on a wilderness trip in Sep 1997 to Boundary Waters Canoe Area.⁽¹²⁴⁾ Gerry spent 7 days in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area wilderness with Ernie Brown (trip leader), Dave Ridge, Mike Walker, Julio Ibach, Charlie Brown, Eric Lippman, and Mark Lander. He went on a wilderness trip on Nov 7 1997 to Mt LeConte, Smoky Mountains National Park.⁽¹²⁵⁾ Gerry hiked Mt LeConte with Dave Ridge, Rebecca Ridge (Dave's daughter), a female friend of Becka Ridge, Ernie Brown, Tony Horton, Marty Cooper, Mark Wilson. They stayed overnight at the lodge. He went on a wilderness trip on Dec 6 1997 to Appalachian Trail. ⁽¹²⁵⁾ Gerry, Dave Ridge, Steve Ibach, and Lamar Powell walked about 28 miles of the Appalachian trail from Winding Stair Gap (US 64) to Wesser, NC on Saturday and Sunday. They camped overnight at 5,000' elevation near the Cold Springs shelter. They covered 16 miles on Saturday. He was ordained on Jan 10 1999 in Covenant Presbyterian Church, Chattanooga, TN.⁽¹²⁵⁾ The ordination was of Deacon in the Presbyterian Chuch of America. He was a Systems Management Integrator in Sep 2000 in IBM Corporation. Result of UnumProvident outsourcing IT Operations He was Vacation trip with Cindy 10-20-1999 to 10-27-1999 in England. Vacation in England, primarily in York and other areas of Yorkshire. He was a Computer Operator August 1973 - February 1987 in American National Bank, Chattanooga TN. He went on a wilderness trip Dec 28 through December 30, 1998 to Okefenokee Swamp.⁽¹²⁵⁾ He was a Computer Programmer, Operations Manager January 1971 - May 1973 in Water Bonnet, Inc., Casselberry, Florida. He went on a wilderness trip July 9, 1999 through Jully 16, 199 to Boundary Waters Canoe Area.⁽¹²⁶⁾ Trip attendees were Dave Ridge and Gerry Williamson, co-leaders, Julio Ibach, Jennifer Lander, Martha Lovelady and her grandson Caleb Lovelady, and Jay Spalding and his son Stephen. He was a Communications Systems Programmer Mar 1987 - August 2000 in Provident Life and Accident, Chattanooga, TN. After merger with Unum Corporation, this company was named UnumProvident Corporation. He went on a wilderness trip Nov 6 1998 through Nov 7 1998 to Mt LeConte, Smoky Mountains National Park.⁽¹²⁷⁾ Gerry Williamson attended, for the third year, the Dave Ridge LeConte Lodge trip. Also on the hike were Cindy Williamson (Gerry's wife), Dave and Beverly Ridge, Ernie and Lynda Brown, Martha Lovelady, and three friends of Martha.

He was married to Willa Francine (Cindy) Turner (daughter of John Thomas Turner Jr. and Willa Webb Pinson) on Dec 19 1970 in St. Elmo Presbyterian Church, Chattanooga, TN. Willa Francine (Cindy) Turner was born on May 31 1951 in Chattanooga , TN. She graduated in 1969 from City High School, Chattanooga, TN. She was a Records Clerk at Covenant College in 1995 in Chattanooga , TN. Gerald Clay Williamson and Willa Francine (Cindy) Turner had the following children:
